T Power Dive

T Power Dive

The T formation is another old standard in Tecmo playbooks. It affords players some solid blocking with a lead blocker plus brings the TE into play, however mostly on the weakside of the run formation. This play is your standard dive up the middle with lead blocker. Elite players can stop this via a well-timed dive at the line of scrimmage, though missing that dive results in huge gains. Another wonderful play for 4-5 yards easily with big-break ability.

T Offtackle R

Similar to the dive play, the offtackle play brings a lead blocker into play and tries to get to the outside of the defense. Unfortunately, the TE has shifted to the weakside of the formation, providing an elite level player with the right man defender to blow the play up with little effort. This play has fallen out of favor unless the opponent team has weak lower LBs or general slow team speed.
